The Kinder Growth Way
The Kinder Growth Way
1. The assessment process
- To begin, you will be assigned an Advanced Floortime Provider (AFP). Your AFP will then meet with you and your child for a detailed assessment session.
- Based on the assessment, your AFP will craft a customized plan to address all the important areas for development.
- Subsequently, your AFP will assign a trained Floortime therapist whom we deem a good fit for your child. Prior to the start of therapy, your AFP will begin regular meetings with your Floortime therapist. This will ensure they can connect and bring about meaningful growth and progress.
2. Floortime Begins
- Your Floortime therapist will coordinate with you to set up your daily session.
- As part of the Floortime model, our Floortime Therapists can include parents and siblings within the therapy sessions.
- This all encompassing approach will lead to stronger interactions and more meaningful communication with your child.
3. We’re in this together
- In addition to the daily therapies, we will set up a weekly meeting between the parents and our AFP to discuss progress and other considerations. This is a great opportunity to get all your questions answered, and improve your understanding about your child and their progress.
- We will also have periodic team meetings with your therapist and AFP. This will ensure there are quality sessions being applied and meaningful progress being achieved.
4. Every step of the way
- Parents will have access to their own portals so that they can track their child's progress. A parent's involvement is vital to the success of their child's development. We are therefore focused on involving parents and keeping them up to speed.
- Periodic reassessments with the AFPs will be integrated to ensure continuous, high quality therapy plans.
